The Journal of Global Voices
Aim & Scope
The Journal of Global Voices offers a platform for young leaders to express their perspectives on global issues through the sciences and the arts. Through monthly electronic publications and an annual print edition, this initiative bridges creativity and critical thinking. Publication in The Journal of Global Voices is free of charge, and the artists and writers we select represent a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints from around the world. We aim to democratize access to publishing opportunities to build a global community where young voices can inspire change and contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexities of our world.
2024 Collection of Best Works
With artistry and perseverance, The Journal of Global Voices Editing Team presents the 2024 Collection of Best Works, an assemblage of the most impactful works from previous issues and new works produced by our creatives over the summer and from participants in the STARS Global Challenge Competition 2024.
A huge shoutout to our incredible Editorial Managers, Jenna and Laura, for their leadership in the editing process and their design of the stunning cover art. Heartfelt thanks to all our diligent editors whose hard work brings these publications to life. Check out their bios here.
CSR-x Edition
Mentees and mentors in the CSR-x Program worked tirelessly for ten weeks over the summer and are proud to present their papers and reviews in this special edition of The Journal of Global Voices.
Thank you so much to all the mentors, administrators, and mentees who participated in the 2024 program. Your involvement made it an unbelievably fun and fruitful first summer of our research program!
Spring theme — Systems
In our daily lives, we are often oblivious to how subtly yet profoundly “systems” shape our actions and inactions. Systemic matters have complex origins. In negative contexts, they persist because inaction allows them to thrive. In positive contexts, they remain uncelebrated because silence masks their success. Through the power of words and the resolve of discourse, we transform whispers into dialogues.
